Howlett “JR” Jackson is an Associate Attorney at Luchansky Law. Having worked as a litigation paralegal for 7 years before graduating law school from the University of Baltimore in 2017, JR has more than 10 years of overall litigation experience. Before joining Luchansky Law, JR worked with one of the pre-eminent employment law attorneys in a temporary position, and also tried more than 100 district court personal injury and premises liability cases for another local law firm.
JR brings his employment law and litigation experience to Luchansky Law, where he represents Maryland clients in all forums, including the Maryland Unemployment Insurance Commission, the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, as well as in state and federal courts. He handles employment law matters of all types, including wage and hour claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act, wage collection issues under the Maryland Wage Payment and Collection Act, and discrimination claims under the ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and the Maryland Fair Employment Practices Act. JR also has extensive experience providing counseling and representation for clients in unemployment matters.
A Maryland native, JR graduated from Villa Julie College (now Stevenson University) with a bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies and earned his J.D. degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
