At Luchansky Law, we value the opportunity to deliver wins for our clients. What those wins look like is as varied as our clients and the wide range of issues they ask us to help them solve. The following are some examples of the various matters we have addressed successfully for our clients.
A non-profit company wanted to fire a high-level executive who kept promising outstanding results but wasn’t delivering. The executive was narcissistic, prickly, and known to be litigious, and the company knew if they fired him, he would likely sue them. The company’s corporate lawyer knew we specialize in employment law and blend legal knowledge with practical advice. Our firm helped them navigate the executive’s contract language, told them the steps to take that would enable the company to fire him safely, and guided them throughout the process. As a result of our guidance, the company has not heard from the discharged executive since.
A large company was sued in a class action lawsuit alleging the company had misclassified over 200 employees as being exempt from overtime and that it owed over $2 million in damages. The company researched attorneys who had extensive experience in wage and hour litigation and found our firm. The case involved a nuanced understanding of the arcane subtleties of FLSA law. We researched the legal issues, developed the winning arguments, and enabled our client to resolve the case on favorable terms.
Our client, a security guard company, contracted with a shopping center to provide security guards at one of its malls. Soon thereafter, the client received complaints from the mall that one of its high-level supervisors was sexually harassing an employee of one of the stores in the mall. The company did not know what action to take and called our firm. We quickly stepped in, performed an investigation, collected evidence, and performed interviews. The evidence enabled us to prevent the mall from taking any further action against the company, while enabling the company to take appropriate disciplinary action against the supervisor.
